CEG are pleased to announce the appointment of Jazmine Estacio as General Counsel for Control Equity Group. As a senior attorney Ms. Estacio brings years of experience and knowledge to the position and will oversee all aspects of the Group's legal needs including the management of outside counsel who are responsible for providing legal advice and counsel for specific areas of our businesses . In our corporate setting, the general counsel will report to the Chief Operating Officer and sometimes to the Board of Directors as well.
Her primary objective will ensure the company and its affiliates are operating within the law at all times.
General counsel will, where appropriate provide legal representation to the corporation and will offer advice on legal matters and perform legal research for the benefit of the Corporation and its affiliates. Additionally the general counsel may offer advice on issues like contracts, property interests, collective bargaining agreements, government regulations and other legal related matters. General Counsel may represent our employers or manage outside counsel in the case of a lawsuit or other legal proceedings as well as its settlement negotiations. General Counsel is to be viewed as a business partner and has additional job responsibilities in overseeing the corporation's Human Resources and its compliance functions to ensure they are aligned with the objectives of the business and the legal departments.
